Role: JIRA Developer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 6+ Months

BGV will be done for the selected candidates.

Summary:

This position is 6+ months in delivering and supporting a technical solution for Atlassian technologies and requires a person who has expertise in developing, maintaining and supporting automation workflows in Atlassian JIRA as well as maintaining other Atlassian products like HipChat, Confluence and FishEye. This position will have current subject matter experience not only in strategic vision, design and development but also in current deployment practices. He/she will have contacts within the industry that will allow for continuous updating of industry practice information. The key competency may include functional business expertise or area of technology experience like, automation, continuous build & deploy pipelines, software release automation and infrastructure automation. This position requires 5+ years of experience.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and dependencies and the ability to drive projects to completion.

Details:

Design custom JIRA workflow for different issues types to assist in Automation of provisioning, build & deploy servers and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows
Responsible for developing plugins and gadgets that extend the JIRA capabilities using Atlassian Plugin SDK 6.x
Develop complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA
Perform the duties of a JIRA engineer and responsible for maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence, HipChat and integrations with other tools or plugins.
Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

3-5 years of experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence including tool administration and customization
Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom forms and attributes
Experience in using/extending REST Services provided by Atlassian.
Strong work experience in VB Script, Java, JavaScript, XML, JSP, SQL, PERL, Python and should have utilized this skill set in multiple projects
Knowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum
Good Verbal and Written communication skills
