About the role:
The Lanes Group needs a Jetting Engineer to join our Operational Team in Manchester working withing a well established team that are looking to expand further with another strong member of staff.
Location: Manchester
Hours: Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week
Salary: up to £13.50 Dependent on experience
As a Van Pack Operator, you will be:
Attending to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
reporting all findings / data to the appropriate teams
assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jetting
Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
Adjust pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots).
Use the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines.
Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
Experience and Qualifications: (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
Full UK driving license (Required)
Water Jetting Association Red or blue book
Banksman
Manual Handling
Emergency First Aid
NRSWA
EUSR National Water Hygiene
Medium risk confined space
