JetBrains Go Developer Advocate (Developer Advocacy)

JetBrains makes industry-leading professional IDEs and team software. We are seeking a Go developer advocate who also has experience in leading hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and the broader cloud-native ecosystem.

Our advocacy team’s mission is to make developers better. For this role, we want someone who can span multiple technologies, isn’t afraid to learn, and can help translate promise into practical benefits. Candidates need to be self-starters who take initiative, plan tasks, coordinate across teams, and complete projects independently with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be someone who can convincingly explain how our products can credibly enhance developer productivity in both the Go and Cloud space and advise product teams based on industry trends and developer feedback. This role blends technical expertise, community engagement, and strategic collaboration with Go and the wider Cloud ecosystem.

We are looking to hear from candidates who are experienced, passionate, empathetic, and ready to help with our roadmap.

In this role you'll:

• Attract attention to and explain various aspects of our product portfolio (speaking, videos, blog posts, livestreams, sample code, etc.).

• Build and maintain relationships and reputation in the industry, with global/regional communities, and on social networks.

• Work with the product teams to provide feedback and shape our product strategy.

• Meet with customers to listen to and educate them about our offerings.

• Speak to the press on behalf of our product offerings.

• Contribute as needed to other areas at JetBrains.

We’ll be happy to have you on our team if you have:

• Applied experience with software engineering best practices, like testing, refactoring, version control, etc.

• Practical experience with multiple technologies, including Go.

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, or others).

• Experience with modern DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Docker, Terraform, Helm, GitOps).

• Fluent in both spoken and written English.

• Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to tell a compelling story about a technology.

• Self-organization, goal-setting, and time-management skills.

• The willingness to travel.
