About the Job

Our client, one of the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer is seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) in VMWare NSX-T to join their team. The SME will be responsible for providing expert knowledge and guidance on VMWare NSX-T technologies, ensuring best practices are implemented within the organization's networking and security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for VMWare NSX-T, providing insights and recommendations to improve network performance and security posture.
• Design, implement, and optimize VMWare NSX-T solutions tailored to meet business requirements.
• Conduct assessments of existing network architectures and provide actionable plans for NSX-T integration.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders to ensure effective use of NSX-T capabilities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues related to NSX-T and provide resolutions in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, features, and functionalities of VMWare NSX-T and related technologies.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or architecture, with a strong focus on virtualization technologies.
• Expert level knowledge of VMWare NSX-T, including design, deployment, and administration.
• Working knowledge with scripting using Ansible and/or JSON
• Experience with networking concepts such as routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• VMware certifications (e.g., VCP-NV) are highly desirable.
