Department Overview

Secure Products Group (SPG) focuses on the delivery of encryption, key management, and authentication solutions that protect the mission-critical communication of Motorola customers. Our goal is to maintain secure and encrypted communication channels in various fields, including law enforcement and emergency services, as well as intelligence agencies that value cybersecurity.

Job Description

Our team takes full ownership of the product's development, which is entirely designed, developed, and tested at our R&D center in Krakow. As a team member, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of a Java application. This application is crucial for generating, storing, and distributing keys for radio authentication and air interface encryption within Motorola LMR systems.

We are expanding our team to accelerate the delivery of next-generation features that directly address the evolving security requirements and market demands of our global customers. Technologies:

Java, Wildfly, Postgres, Python, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, BitBucket, Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor, VMware ESXI, KVM, Ansible, Maven, Ant, HSM.

Basic Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Java software development.

• Solid understanding of client-server architecture.

• Working knowledge of REST API design.

• Commitment to engineering practices (e.g. TDD, Clean Code)

• Strong team player and good communication skills.

• Ability to lead technical initiatives and features.

• Engagement in complex problem-solving.

• Capability to define and maintain architecture collaboratively with the team.

• Ability to work 2 days per week from the office.

• Communicative English, both verbal and written.

Experience in following areas will be treated as an additional asset:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or a related field.

• Automatization of application deployments and tests.

• Front-end development.

• Good knowledge of computer networks.

• Security related experience, including CompTIA Security+ certification.

• Working in Scrum or Kanban.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf) to enhance coding efficiency, refactoring, and documentation processes.
