About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Lead to join one of our development teams. The Development Lead plays an important role in leading technical decision-making processes, ensuring the quality of our platform, mentoring team members, contributing to feature development, and collaborating closely with product management and DevOps teams. This position offers a clear path towards a Team Lead role, where you will have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Lead and make informed technical decisions to ensure the robustness and scalability of the platform
Quality Assurance: Be accountable for the overall quality of the platform, including code quality, performance, and security
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Feature Development: Actively contribute to the development of new features and improvements to existing functionalities
Collaboration: Work closely with product management to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
DevOps Integration: Coordinate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of the platform
Lead by Example: Demonstrate best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on full-stack development.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Java and React
Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Leadership Skills:
Proven experience in leading technical decision-making processes
Experience in mentoring and guiding team members
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
