Java Developer/Senior

Client of FiniteHR Consulting Pvt Ltd - GSO of a Major Multinational Organisation with a base in 20 different countries.

Overview:

The Java Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom code for all aspects of the business. This is a hands-on role focusing on identifying, planning, coding and implementing new features to all aspects of the business. This person will work closely with the application development manager to identify practical solutions through existing and/or new application systems technology, and will be responsible for development, testing, and ongoing support. This is a start-up office, so part of the Java Developers responsibilities will be to help setup best practices for coding, version, specification writing, and testing.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and support web applications and web services to meet business needs.
- Writing efficient and readable code.
- Work with other developers to design integrations between systems.
- Support special projects as required.
- Create and Maintain design specifications and related documentation.
- Work with other application developers to design integrations between corporate systems.
- Assume a mentor role to the Jr Java Developers.

Qualifications:

- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field.
- Oracle Java certification
- 5+ years hands on experience with Java/J2ee, Web Services(SOAP & REST), Spring (Spring Security) & Hibernate                                                                                                                                                        - Knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases                                                                    - 7-12 years hands on experience with XML & JavaScript                                                                                - Experience with GIT and/or SVN                                                                                                                  - Working knowledge of tomcat.                                                                                                                      - Agile experience an asset                                                                                                                              - Jira experience an asset                                                                                                                                - Working knowledge of Salesforce an asset.                                                                                                  - Strong communication skills are required (oral and written)
