Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Implement

High performance, resilient APIs

Micro-services and hierarchical web-services

Distributed, and parallel tools and services

Do all of this on systems ranging from a public or private cloud to a decent laptop

Ingest, Process and Deliver

Large quantities of disparate data types

Large files, small files, such as JSON metadata files, video files, HSI imagery, satellite, aerial or unmanned aircraft data.

High volume & bitrate content streams such as those from UHD drone videos or aerial imagery, as well as micro-record streams such as those from well-heads or residential sensors

Grow with the company and expand your role alongside fulfilling existing needs

Knowledge - Skills & Abilities Required:

Must have experience with:

Server-side Java programming

Tomcat, Spring framework & other Java dev environments

Micro-services, API (REST, JSON) implementation

Installation, configuration, deployment and utilization of some or all of:

Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar products

NoSQL products (e.g.Cassandra)

Lucene, Solr or similar products

Docker or similar products

3rd party tool integration

JSON, XML, data movement and manipulation

API specification and schema authoring and editing

Configuration management

Continuous integration & delivery

Nice to have experience with:

JNI

Video, maps, GIS

AWS APIs, S3 APIs

Using APIs and automating with APIs

OpenStack tools

JavaScript, Node, Angular
