Job Summary

As a Java Backend Dev it's expected you to contribute to develop and maintain a complex communication solution, working closely with a cross-functional team. You'll need to apply your analytical thinking to understand the requirements and provide future proof solutions. This position plays a fundamental role in driving the technical evolution of the product, with a shared belief in leaving the code in a better state that you found it.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work in a dynamic team to provide back-end solutions, mostly in Java;

• New features development, maintenance and improvements on existing services;

• Participation in the complete cycle of development from requirements gathering, development, testing and monitoring;

• Contribute to technical discussions with customers.

Essential Skills

• In depth knowledge of Java and exposure to other languages, extensions and paradigms;

• Experience building REST APIs;

• Working Knowledge on Spring Boot Framework;

• Knowledge of Docker, Consul, Prometheus and MySQL;

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and source control tools like SVN/Git;

• Jira and Agile Development using Scrum;

• Working knowledge of HTTP Protocol;

• Comfortable with Linux command line and writing shell scripts.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure;

• Scripting knowledge for Automation, wherever necessary.
