Java Backend Developer (Spring & Maven)

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer to design and develop robust Java applications, mainly working on multi-module monoliths while having some familiarity with microservices architectures. You will ensure clean, maintainable code and collaborate closely with frontend teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot;
• Build and manage dependencies with Maven;
• Work on multi-module monoliths with design patterns that allow smooth evolution towards microservices;
• Collaborate with frontend teams (e.g., Angular) for seamless integration;
• Use Git-based version control for code management and reviews;
• Participate in architectural discussions with future scalability in mind;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience with Java and Spring Framework (Data, Security);

• Strong knowledge of Maven;
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL);
• Familiarity with Git workflows (GitHub, GitLab, etc.);
• Understanding of Clean Code principles and Unit Testing;
• Basic understanding of microservices concepts (optional but desirable);
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Desirable Skills:
• Experience with GeoTools or GIS data processing;
• Knowledge of spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS);
• Familiarity with OGC standards (WMS, WFS).
