We are looking for a seasoned Java Architect to lead the design and delivery of our integration framework, guide engineering best practices, and shape the technical vision for integrations that serve businesses across the globe. You will also play a pivotal role in driving AI adoption in our development processes, leveraging emerging tools and techniques to enhance productivity and code quality.

The Role

As a Java Architect – Integration Engineering, you will:

• Define and enforce integration architecture standards, design patterns, and development best practices for the team.

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of integrations with diverse internal and external systems using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks.

• Engage directly with customers to understand their integration requirements, processes, and business objectives.

• Collaborate with solution team to define, document, and finalize integration design, architecture, and data mapping.

• Champion AI-driven development practices, integrating tools like Cursor AI and other AI-assisted coding solutions into the team’s workflow.

• Partner with Product Management, Pre-Sales, and Implementation teams to translate business needs into scalable technical designs.

• Guide and mentor engineers, fostering technical excellence, innovation, and AI adoption within the integration team.

• Be hands-on in building Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), solving complex integration challenges, and driving mission-critical deliveries.

• Collaborate with leadership to shape the roadmap for integration products and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee the implementation of integration solutions leveraging Spring Boot, REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures.

• Establish integration design patterns (e.g., EAI, ESB, SOA, pub/sub, ETL) to ensure reusability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to gather integration requirements and define clear solution blueprints.

• Coordinate with internal solution architects, product managers, and customer success teams to ensure integration feasibility and alignment with business goals.

• Introduce, evaluate, and integrate AI-powered development tools into the engineering process to improve efficiency, testing, and documentation.

• Promote a culture of AI-first problem solving in architecture design, code reviews, and automation.

• Set up frameworks and automation to accelerate onboarding of new integrations.

• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and cloud services (primarily AWS) to optimize integration performance.

• Review solution designs and code to ensure adherence to architectural principles and coding standards.

• Support pre-sales with architecture diagrams, integration approaches, and technical feasibility assessments.

• Lead technical discussions with external partners, vendors, and enterprise customers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years as an Architect.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Solid understanding of integration patterns, enterprise architecture concepts, and middleware solutions.

• Experience with REST APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and data transformation (JSON, XML, CSV).

• Knowledge of AWS cloud services relevant to integration (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS/SNS, ECS, RDS, etc.).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, branching/merging strategies, and code quality tools.

• Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.

• Experience with building connectors/adapters for ERP, WMS, OMS, CRM, or eCommerce platforms is a plus.

• Exposure to products like TIBCO, Informatica, SnapLogic, WebMethods, or MuleSoft is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think “out-of-the-box”, and adapt to fast-changing priorities.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across teams.

Bonus / Good to Have

• Experience in AI-assisted development, particularly using tools like Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, or similar.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering and integrating AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into developer tooling or backend services.

• Understanding of ML Ops principles and how AI models can be integrated into enterprise applications.

• Track record of evangelizing AI adoption in engineering teams to improve productivity and innovation.
