Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Operations & Manufacturing professional to lead and scale our PCBA manufacturing, supply chain, and product fulfillment operations. This role will be responsible for managing EMS and 3PL partners, driving operational excellence from NPI through mass production, and ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and cost efficiency. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Finance, and IT, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting global product delivery and the continued growth of our business.

The Team
As an engineering driven company we are working to define and solve the hardest problems in AI including computer vision, speech, and natural language, geared towards real-time capabilities on small to medium form factor devices. We originated out of multiple years of research, as such at our core we value learning, intellectual curiosity, and self-starters. We have the ambitious goal of enabling cloud-level performance with significantly better energy-efficiency for AI inference at the edge.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Product Manufacturing
Managing EMS partner(s) to maintain cost effective, timely, and quality production
Work with HW Engineering to transition NPI to MP
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through methodologies like Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Supply Chain Management
Planning: working with Sales and EMS to schedule production
Key vendor relationships
Ensure EMS long-lead and critical component supply
Inventory Management
RMI (at EMS)
FGI (at 3PL and internal stores), with serial number tracking
Quality and Compliance
Ensure adherence to relevant quality and regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS, FCC, CE,... )
Oversee the development and maintenance of a Quality Manual, and obtain ISO9001(2015) certification
Product Fulfillment
Outbound Logistics
Managing 3PL warehouse and volume (MOQ) fulfillment
Small volume EVAL boards fulfillment from internal inventory
Small volume EVAL system integration and fulfillment from internal inv.
RMA
Support Corporate Information Systems/ERP/MRP:
Help evaluate and configure modules for
Order Entry (with Sales Team)
Inventory Management (with Serial # tracking)
Planning/Procurement
Shipping
Communication with Finance team to Invoice Shipments
Financial Management:
Manage and forecast the departmental budget
Manage EMS and 3PL costs
Manage long lead time and critical component purchases and EMS inventory
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on operational performance.

Product costs
Yields/Shrinkage & Waste
Desired Qualifications:
Detailed hardware technical experience with Hardware product manufacturing and Operations:
PCBA manufacturing, testing, and system integration.
Warehousing and/or inventory management
Serial number tracking, configuration management and revision control.
Order fulfillment including picking & packaging
Shipping (domestic & international)
Fluency in Japanese & English required
Mandarin a plus
