What's Exciting About The Role

Verifone is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support and enhance our global IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, high-availability systems, implementing security patches, and driving backend infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain VMWare ESX and KVM environments

• Managing physical and virtual servers across data centres and cloud environments

• Maintain and support Windows & Linux OS

• Support and administration of Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment.

• Support solutions such as Intune/ Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), IIS, Active Directory, Capacity management, Change control, Storage management, Application processing, Network, and Security support for production and test environments.

• Work closely with global product development teams and business management to set and achieve service level targets.

Skills and Experience You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, or a related technology field (or 2-4 years of direct IT experience doing the same or similar role in lieu of a formal degree).

• Fluent English language, written & spoken

• 2-4+ years of professional experience in IT with hands-on experience operating large-scale, high-availability, secure, redundant, and transaction-based systems.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2022, 2019, 2016), IIS, MECM, Active Directory

• Hands-on experience with - Active Directory, Hardware, Hypervisors, DNS, DHCP, VMWare, Network, PowerShell for configuration management as well as Disaster Recovery (DR) & Backup

• Strong working knowledge across data centre technologies is desirable (eg; Microsoft Azure Cloud, AWS, Rocky Linux, MS SQL Server database management, VMware, KVM, networking, clustering, and internet security)

• Skilled in ITIL processes such as incident management and change control.

• Strong background in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery methodologies.

• Solid understanding of Information Security and Cybersecurity principles.

• Proficient in network protocols and troubleshooting.

• Relevant credentials such as Azure Administrator, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, or equivalent (preferred)
