We’re looking for a motivated and focused Tier 1 System Administrator to join our growing IT team! In this essential role, you’ll be the first point of contact for users needing technical support—helping ensure systems, devices, and applications run smoothly across the organization.

Location: 2200 Eagle Street North, Cambridge

Role and Responsibilities: 

Provide first‑level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues

Assist with password resets, account access, and basic system configurations

Log, track, and document all support interactions in the ticketing system

Install and configure basic software and applications

Support end‑users with desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues

Follow standard operating procedures and escalation paths

Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service

Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 or specialized teams

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience: 

A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Systems or Information Technology 

3 years+ hands on experience and advanced knowledge of networking, subnetting, IP Addressing, Switches, VPN, VLANS, Firewalls, and site-to-site tunneling

Experience with building and managing Active Directory and Azure AD.

Experience with SD-WAN or similar networking framework.

Experience with Fortinet / Cisco or similar network management platforms.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Capacity to handle high pressure situations, tight and competing deadlines

On call availability for off hours support

Willingness to travel to various locations as required

Lifting (11-60 lbs), moving and setting up of computers and monitors

Some bending and reaching is required for this position 

Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills

Ideal candidates can take direction well; with the ability to work independently without supervision
