Our client is looking for a personable and knowledgeable IT professional to contribute towards the smooth and effective running of the IT Department. You will be responsible for providing front-line technical support to the end-users within the business on various technical issues relating to hardware, software and peripherals. This position will support multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, mobile devices and videoconferencing equipment.
You must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex problem situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate IT staff members. You will sometimes be assisting people with minimal IT knowledge so you should have excellent customer service skills and be able to explain complicated information in an easily understandable way.
We are looking for someone who has the technical knowledge but is also a people person and happy to help others. You could have experience of working in a 1st Line Support or Helpdesk role from any environment including retail; you will need experience of resolving the more complex IT problems and be able to troubleshoot for both software and hardware issues.
