Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with 4–5 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support across networking, system configuration, asset management, and security. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proactive threat handling, and the ability to ensure smooth IT operations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Networking Support
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity.
Configure routers, switches, and firewalls.
Assist in network performance optimization and ensure uptime.
Laptop & System Configuration
Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
Manage OS installations, updates, and patching.
Provide end-user support for hardware/software issues.
Office Asset Management
Maintain inventory of IT assets (laptops, desktops, printers, networking equipment).
Track asset allocation and ensure proper documentation.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and repairs.
Security & Threat Handling
Identify and mitigate phishing/scammer threats targeting employees.
Deploy and manage security applications (antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls).
Conduct regular security audits and enforce IT policies.
Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.
General IT Support
Provide timely resolution of IT tickets and incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
Document troubleshooting steps and maintain knowledge base.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
4–5 years of hands-on IT support experience.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Experience with Windows/Mac OS configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with IT asset management tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and threat mitigation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Experience with cloud-based security solutions (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.).
Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
