Are you an enthusiastic advocate for animals, driven by the desire to contribute to our overarching goal of ensuring every pet has access to affordable treatment? We're currently seeking a flexible In-house IT Support Engineer to support our continued growth.
As an IT Support Engineer, you would be responsible for working with our MSP to assist our clinical and non-clinical staff with their technical needs, administering internal systems, ensuring documentation is up to date and accurate, and visiting our various locations to assist with troubleshooting and hardware installation.
Your role would be to provide the technical support that’s needed to ensure our Nurses and Vets can work quickly and efficiently, helping as many pets as possible.
We are a small flexible team, so there would be ample opportunities to get involved with new and exciting projects and up-skill into various technologies and platforms.
About you:
Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, eager to learn, able to assist our users in a calm and friendly manner, and have experience working on a service desk and administering Microsoft 365. Experience working in a medical or veterinary environment is beneficial but not required.
Hold a clean driving licence as travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
Providing IT support via phone, ticket system, or in person
Logging tickets and following them through to completion
Liaising between staff and 3rd party support
On-site hardware maintenance and replacement
Assisting with hardware installation at new sites
Maintaining our digital asset register
Maintaining IT documentation and keeping it up to date
Assisting with projects and other learning opportunities
Possible on-call requirements
Administering various environments (Microsoft 365, vet-specific systems)
Supporting internal and bespoke applications/systems
Requirements:
Full clean driving licence and access to a car
Willing to travel to sites as required
Strong written and verbal communication
Strong troubleshooting skills
Skills & Experience:
1st/2nd line technical experience
Experience in basic Microsoft 365 administration
Experience using Microsoft Intune or other MDM platforms
Experience administering phone systems beneficial
Good working knowledge of Windows 11 support
Good understanding of computer networking (experience with Meraki beneficial)
Qualifications:
CCNA/CCENT or equivalent networking qualification
CompTIA A+ or equivalent
Microsoft certifications (beneficial but not required)
Job particulars:
contracted hours: 40/week
Working days: Monday to Friday
Hours of work: 08:30-17:30hrs
Holiday allowance: 6 weeks (including bank holidays)
