GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for an IT On-Site Service Consultant to join our team!

This is an onsite role that is in office Monday - Thursday and remote on Friday.

Our On-Site Services Consultants serve as the local representative of GEA IT across one or more assigned sites, ensuring reliable daily IT operations and a consistent, customer-oriented user experience. They focus on on-site execution, coordination, and proactive issue prevention, while the Service Desk remains the primary channel for standard incidents and service requests. They act as a trusted local partner, bridging users, Service Desk, and Global IT functions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure local operational stability and service continuity for your site.

• Provide hands-on support for infrastructure, workplace, and network issues.

• Coordinate with the Service Desk, Service Delivery Managers, and Competence Centers to manage local escalations and recurring problems.

• Support the local implementation of IT changes, rollouts, relocations, and infrastructure activities.

• Maintain and update local IT documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.

• Guide users in the proper use of GEA IT processes, tools, and security practices.

• Identify and communicate risks, improvement opportunities, and feedback from local operations to the 

• On-Site Services organization.

• Represent Global IT professionally toward site management and other local stakeholders.

• Promote GEA IT standards, policies, and governance principles as well as the On-Site Services vision and culture within the local organization, acting as a visible and trusted face of GEA IT.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Profile And Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in computer science and 4 years of related experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft ecosystem (Windows, Office Suite, Teams, Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint).

• Proven ability to coordinate between users, Service Desk, and central IT teams effectively as well as to translate business needs into IT actions on-site.

• Broad understanding of workplace, infrastructure, and network technologies.

• Experience with IT processes, governance, and security standards.

• Interest in digitalization, industrial connectivity, and IT/OT integration.

• Strong written and verbal communication with proficiency in local language and English.

• Problem-solving ability and proactive work approach.

• Adaptability and eagerness to learn.

• Collaborative team player.

• Customer service oriented.

• Structured, organized, and independent.

• Available for occasional travel (up to 10%).

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
