Job Description

Role: IT Specialist

Reports to:  Director, New Delhi

Location: E-10, Hauz Khas Market, Block E, Hauz Khas, New Delhi

Reporting to the Director, New Delhi, this role provides in-person IT support to ILSC’s New Delhi school, and in line with the Company’s global Technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Network Administration

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks.

Monitor system performance to ensure stability, security, and optimal uptime.

Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.

Proactively respond to and resolve network and system outages.

Follow standard guidelines for installing and configuring new equipment and peripherals, including hardware refresh cycles and staff moves.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Research solutions using manuals, online resources, and vendor support when needed.

Train staff on new technologies, tools, and best practices.

Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.

Cybersecurity & Access Management

Support and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus tools, and data protection protocols.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, including onboarding and offboarding.

Administer Windows Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook accounts, and related identity services.

Vendor & Global Team Coordination

Collaborate with vendors and service providers for IT solutions, support, and in-warranty hardware replacement.

Serve as the primary liaison with the Global Technology team during major incidents, upgrades, or scheduled downtime.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners.

Documentation & Process Improvement

Create, maintain, and improve IT documentation, including policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Think creatively to improve processes, implement new technologies, and develop innovative solutions.

Contribute to a team-oriented environment with initiative and collaboration.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certifications such as A+, MCSE, N+, or equivalent experience are an asset.

Proven experience as an IT Specialist, System Administrator, or similar role.

Technical Skills

Experience with Microsoft Windows 10–11, Windows Server 2012 R2–2019, and Microsoft Office 2013/2019/365.

Experience with Microsoft 365 environments.

Proficiency with enterprise networking infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, access points, and VPN tunnels.

Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Exchange, Exchange Online, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, and antispam tools.

Experience with media streaming devices and systems.

Professional Skills

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.

Ability to prioritize tasks and recognize when issues may impact service delivery.

Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in written and spoken English.
