Supervised by: Associate Executive Director
Brigid Collins Family Support Center is seeking a skilled and mission-driven IT Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technology professional who enjoys problem-solving, supporting others, and using their expertise to make a meaningful impact in the community.
About the Role
The IT Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring our technology systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. In this position, you will support staff across programs by troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining systems, and helping implement technology solutions that enhance our services to children and families.
You’ll work closely with leadership and staff to ensure our IT systems align with organizational needs, while also protecting sensitive client and organizational data.
What You’ll Do
Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
Manage and maintain systems including Office365, Active Directory, and cloud-based tools
Maintain documentation of IT procedures, IT assets, and IT manuals and troubleshooting resources.
Support network infrastructure in collaboration with third-party vendors
Implement and monitor cybersecurity practices and data protection protocols
Set up and maintain devices, user accounts, and access permissions
Assist with system upgrades, backups, and troubleshooting connectivity issues
Train and support staff in using technology effectively
Research and recommend IT improvements and solutions
Lead IT projects across the organization
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of technical support experience
Experience providing IT support in a nonprofit or government agency is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Windows systems, business software, and IT/network fundamentals
Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based systems
Familiarity with VOIP/PBX systems is a plus
A customer-service mindset with the ability to support users at all skill levels
Strong problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Valid WA State driver’s license and ability to travel locally (Bellingham & Mount Vernon)
Ability to work from Brigid Colins offices up to 5 days a week (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm)

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage: $24.50-26.50/hour, DOE
Medical, dental, and vision insurance (80%+ employer-paid)
