You will take on a central role in the further development and stable operation of our core applications, combining technical expertise with business understanding and actively contributing to shaping our system landscape in a reliable, efficient, and future-oriented way.
How you'll make an impact:
• Development, maintenance, and operation of business-critical insurance applications on the IBM i platform using RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free)
• Ensuring stable, efficient, and secure operation of core systems
• 2nd-level support for IBM i applications
• Analyzing errors, identifying development needs, implementing fixes and enhancements, and presenting results and solutions to business departments
• Translating business requirements into technical concepts and ensuring smooth implementation
How you'll make an impact:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of experience in RPG development and operation of business applications
• Strong knowledge of RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free), IBM Db2 for i, SQL, and web services
• Experience with database design, system integration, and service-oriented architectures
• Knowledge of traditional development models (Waterfall) and ITIL is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and high problem-solving competence
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent communication skills in English and/or German
