Roles & Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and maintain instrumentation and control systems integrated with IT/OT environments.
• Develop and support Digital Twin models for industrial equipment, plants, or processes.
• Integrate sensor data, PLC/SCADA systems, and IoT platforms into digital twin environments.
• Work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP.
• Collaborate with automation, data science, and IT teams to build data pipelines and analytics models.
• Perform data acquisition, signal validation, and instrumentation calibration.
• Ensure cybersecurity and reliability in IT/OT integration systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, automation, and connectivity issues.
Educational qualification:
BE /. M. Tech in one of the following fields:
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Automation Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
Experience :
3 to 5 years
Mandatory/requires Skills :
·         Sensor & transmitter selection (pressure, temperature, flow, level, vibration)
·         P&ID interpretation and loop diagram understanding
·         DCS / PLC fundamentals
·         Control strategies (PID, cascade, feedforward)
·         PLC programming basics (e.g., ladder logic, function block)
·         SCADA systems
·         Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC-UA)
·         Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
Soft skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams (IT, automation, operations)
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
 
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of Industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms
• Experience with predictive maintenance models
• Familiarity with 3D plant models or CAD integration
• Understanding of cybersecurity in OT environments
Exposure to end to end IoT projects with wireless communication will be an added advantage.
