Overview of the Role
The IT Operations Manager to lead our IT department and ensure the smooth operation of our organization's technology infrastructure. This resource will have a strong technical background combined with excellent leadership and management skills to effectively oversee a team of IT professionals.
Main duties include:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and other hardware.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and services.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor security systems, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
• Analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential security incidents or anomalies.
• Manage a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement incident response procedures to address IT emergencies and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to procure IT equipment and services.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in IT operations management, with at least 4-5 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, and cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, PMP) are a plus.
