IT Manager Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities
The IT Manager will have the following primary responsibilities:
IT Team Leadership
The IT Manager will be responsible for the direct management of the IT Specialist on the IT Team. This will include ensuring that team members have a clear understanding of their daily tasks, project assignments, and other work effort required.

The IT Manager will be responsible for working with IT Specialist team members to set individualized professional growth to include setting goals, obtaining training, and demonstrating progress towards professional growth. A key component of this growth will be to hold weekly one-on-one meetings and Annual reviews with each member of the IT team.
Systems Management
The Manager of IT shall be responsible for the ensuring the ongoing maintenance, security, and Administration of the following systems within the company:

Unified Communications
Business Productivity Suite
Messaging Platform
User Directory
File/lnformation Sharing Platforms
Business Line Applications
SIEM platform
Mobile Device Management and policies
Asset Procurement
The Manger of IT shall be responsiblle for purchasing equipmement within in Telarus corporate budget as well as asset tracking.

End User Support
Shall be responsible for ensuring the employees of the Company receive prompt, effective support with their Information Technology needs. This includes primary management of the IT case queue.

Secondary Responsibilities

The IT Manager will have the following secondary responsibilities:

Information Security: Will be responsible for assisting in implementing, monitoring and managing technical safeguards required for Company to maintain compliance with the defined Information Security Policies.  This will include the development and delivery of an Information Security Awareness program for the Company. This will be done at the direction of the VP of IT.

Business Continuity: Will be responsible for assisting in  implementing, monitoring, testing and managing the company's Business Continuity plan in accordance to the defined Business Continuity document.

 Information Security Policy: Will assist the VP of IT in the periodic review, maintenance and update of the Company’s Information Security Policies and Procedures.  This includes staying informed of trends in Information Security implementation to ensure the Company is meeting Industry Best Practices. Other Responsibilities The IT Manager will also be responsible for performing additional periodic work as determined by the VP of IT.
