Role Overview
We are seeking a senior IT and data leader to own the strategy, governance, and delivery of engineering and master data across enterprise manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for ensuring that core data domains such as BOMs, materials, products, and vendors are accurate, governed, scalable, and usable across ERP, PLM, MES, and analytics platforms.
This is a hands-on leadership role that sits at the intersection of IT, engineering, manufacturing, and data governance. The work directly supports operational decision making, plant execution, and enterprise reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and execution for engineering and master data across enterprise systemsOwn data architecture, modeling, and transformation pipelines supporting manufacturing and engineering use casesEnsure consistency, quality, and governance of core data domains including BOMs, specifications, materials, and vendorsPartner with IT, engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to define data standards and stewardship processesSupport and enable data integration across ERP, PLM, MES, and related enterprise platformsOversee reliability, performance, and scalability of production data workflowsDrive best practices in data modeling, testing, documentation, and version controlLead and mentor analytics or data engineering team members while maintaining delivery accountabilitySupport enterprise reporting and analytics through well governed semantic and data models
Required Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or enterprise data rolesAt least 2 years of experience in a leadership or delivery ownership capacityStrong understanding of master data management principles and engineering or manufacturing data structuresExperience supporting ERP, PLM, MES, or similar enterprise manufacturing systemsAdvanced SQL and strong data modeling experienceFamiliarity with data governance, lineage, and metadata practicesExperience working in large scale, multi stakeholder enterprise environmentsAbility to work on site and collaborate directly with engineering and operations teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and dbt or equivalent toolsPower BI semantic modeling or similar enterprise reporting layersBackground supporting engineering or manufacturing organizationsExperience with CI CD pipelines and version-controlled data environmentsFamiliarity with Python or other scripting languagesExperience working in Agile or DevOps delivery models
