IT infrastructure L2 support (Remote, Full-time, EU, English)

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues across Windows Server environments, including failures related to configuration, patching, performance degradation, and system outages.

• Troubleshoot VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machines, focusing on performance issues, resource bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and host/cluster-level incidents.
• Investigate and resolve problems related to Active Directory, Group Policy, authentication, permissions, and domain services health.
• Monitor server health, capacity, performance trends, and respond to system alerts; identify root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and support backup and recovery operations, including job failures, restore errors, and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues across infrastructure services, including storage connectivity, network basics (DNS, DHCP, routing), virtualization components, and shared services.
• Work closely with the service desk and escalation teams to provide deep‑dive troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of incidents, problems, and urgent service requests.

Requirements:
• Hands-on experience in infrastructure support or systems administration, with exposure to Windows Servers, virtualisation (e.g. VMware ESXi or similar), and Microsoft 365.

• Basic experience with server monitoring, alerting, and incident handling, or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus.

• Ability to work in a managed services environment, supporting multiple client environments and following standardised processes and documentation.

• Well-rounded, proactive profile with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.

• Strong problem-solving mindset; able to work independently as well as within a remote team.

• Experience working in international / multicultural teams, with awareness of cultural differences.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
