The IT help desk Associate is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of computer systems, software, and network infrastructure within an organization. The IT help desk Associate serves as a primary point of contact for users seeking technical assistance and aims to deliver timely and effective solutions to their technology-related problems. Additionally, responsible for documenting and tracking issues, escalating complex problems when necessary, and providing excellent customer service to promote user satisfaction and productivity.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to (in-office/remote) end-users via phone, email, or in person.
• Diagnose and fix hardware or software malfunctions ensuring timely resolution of faults to minimize downtime.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and updates as needed.
• Manage office product configuration ( outlook, teams, one drive, etc).
• Maintain the IT assets documentation and ensure that all assets are recorded, and updated.
• Manage IT inventory equipment (toner, spare parts, etc).
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Building internal technical documentation, manuals, and reports.
• Highly involve in on/off-boarding of employees, setup of the machines required software, and all the related setup.
• Guarantee that the reports provided are accurate, usable, and clearly readable.
• Maintain healthy relationships with suppliers and partners.
• Engage in regular communication and follow-up with the repair shop.
• Handling IT procurement and arranging with other related departments, communicating with vendors, and obtaining and assessing offers.
• Fulfil any supplementary tasks or assignments as needed, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism in delivering results.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• (0-1) years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts.
• excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• knowledge of VPN connectivity, knowledge of working with AD
• Strong following-up skills
• A+, Network+, Security+ certification is a plus
