Role Summary
You’ll join IT & Cloud Operations to keep our platforms secure, reliable, and efficient. The role blends internal IT with production operations: automate routine work, run OpenStack-based infrastructure, resolve incidents, and help colleagues via the helpdesk. You’ll also take part in an on-call rotation. IT Engineer needs to be located in LatAm region, so candidates from Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Chile will be considered. Key Responsibilities
Administer Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu), and core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DHCP, firewalls).
Implement monitoring/alerting and capacity management (Zabbix/Prometheus/Grafana; logs via ELK/OpenSearch).
Troubleshoot outages, restore service quickly, and lead post-incident RCA documentation and follow-ups.
Provide daily IT support via the helpdesk; manage secure onboarding/offboarding and SaaS administration (incl. M365, SSO/MFA).
Maintain endpoint hardware (laptops, network equipment) and data-center documentation/runbooks.
Drive performance tuning, load testing, and reliability KPIs.
Participate in the on-call rotation.
Automate routine tasks and workflows to improve operational efficiency (IaC/CM, CI/CD).
Document data center infrastructure, standards, and operational procedures.
What you bring
Hardware basics (servers, RAID/HBAs; iLO/iDRAC), strong diagnostics skills
Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DHCP, firewalls).
Virtualization: hands-on with KVM/QEMU and libvirt (VM lifecycle, networking, migration).
Automation tools; scripting in Bash and/or Python.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and identity/SSO/MFA.
Clear communication in distributed teams; English B1+.
Nice to Have
Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, or similar.
Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or support role.
Cloud: OpenStack experience is preferred.
