Job Description

Your Role in Our Story:

We’re looking for an experienced IT Architect to shape and safeguard ACT’s enterprise-wide IT architecture. In this role, you ensure that our technology landscape is scalable, secure, and aligned with our long-term business strategy.

Working in a modern, cloud-first environment built largely on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft platforms, and SaaS solutions, you act as the architectural quality gate across major initiatives and advise both IT and business stakeholders on strategic technology decisions. You’ll have a strategic impact and influence across the entire organization, helping ACT build a coherent, future-ready IT landscape that grows with the business.

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps

• Translate business strategy into clear, future-proof technology designs

• Lead architecture governance, including design reviews and decision forums

• Ensure consistency and quality across application, data, integration, and security domains

• Partner with engineering teams, product owners, and vendors to guide solution design

• Identify and reduce architectural risk and technical debt

• Coach and mentor your other IT Architect-colleague

Your expertise:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as an IT (Solution) Architect, preferably within a commodity trading environment

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft-native technologies

• Experience with cloud-first and SaaS-based architectures

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge decisions constructively

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex architectures and translate business needs into sustainable IT solutions

• Hands-on mentality which fits to our open company culture

Any of these are a plus:

• Experience within DWS or Datalake

• Coaching/ mentoring skills
