We are looking for an Irrigation Technician to support landscape maintenance operations in the Walpole, Massachusetts area. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems that support healthy landscapes across commercial and residential properties.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and seasonal system maintenance. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems including controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, and drip systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation system issues such as leaks, pressure problems, or electrical faults
• Perform seasonal system start-ups, winterizations, and system adjustments
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently and properly
• Adjust irrigation schedules and system settings based on weather and landscape conditions
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and system changes
• Coordinate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure irrigation supports overall landscape health
• Operate tools and equipment used for irrigation installation and repairs
• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols
Requirements:
• Experience installing or servicing landscape irrigation systems
• Knowledge of irrigation components including valves, controllers, pipes, and sprinkler heads
• Ability to diagnose and repair irrigation system issues in the field
• Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting for irrigation controllers
• Ability to read irrigation plans or installation layouts preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks as required
