Compensation & Benefits
$25–$28 per hour, based on experience (hourly role)

About the Role
The Irrigation Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems under the guidance of senior and lead technicians. This role focuses on learning best practices, developing troubleshooting skills, and contributing to high-quality fieldwork while growing technical and professional capabilities.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
System Installation & Setup
Assist with installing pipe, valves, sprinklers, and controllers under the direction of senior or lead technicians
Follow site plans and layouts to ensure proper placement and alignment of irrigation components
Maintenance & Repair
Perform basic irrigation repairs, including replacing heads and repairing minor leaks
Conduct routine inspections and identify issues requiring escalation to senior technicians
Controller Programming & Learning
Learn to program and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal requirements
Follow recommended watering schedules to promote efficiency and water conservation
Safety & Job Site Standards
Follow all company safety protocols and industry best practices
Use and maintain tools and equipment properly
Team Support & Communication
Work closely with the Irrigation Division Manager, Lead Irrigation Technician, and crew members
Communicate clearly about job progress, material needs, and any challenges encountered
What We’re Looking For
Experience
1–2 years of irrigation, landscaping, or related field experience (or equivalent training)
Technical Aptitude
Basic understanding of irrigation system components and layouts
Willingness to learn controller programming, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
Certifications & Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred)
Irrigation-related certifications are a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, digging, and repetitive motion
