Job Description

IRL Supervisor – Reference Laboratory

Ready to lead, solve complex cases, and make a real impact in transfusion medicine? We’re looking for an experienced IRL Supervisor to oversee daily reference lab operations, guide a skilled team, and provide expert consultation to hospitals and transfusion services.

What You’ll Do

Supervise and support a high-performing reference lab team

Resolve complex serological and compatibility challenges

Partner with the Medical Director to ensure exceptional patient care

Ensure quality, compliance, and accuracy across all testing and processes

Perform and interpret advanced donor/patient testing as needed

Schedule That Works for You

Baylor Shift: Friday–Monday (open to Friday–Sunday)

8:00a–6:00p or 10:00a–8:00p

No on-call, no holidays, no rotating shifts

Daytime training for the first 4 months

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in a biological or related field

SBB (ASCP) or equivalent required

5+ years of high-complexity blood bank experience

At least 1 year of leadership or management experience

Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
