IPV Logistics Material Specialist III (LMS III)
Mission-Driven Logistics Support | DoD Environment | Bench Stock Operations
Are you a dependable logistics professional with strong customer service skills and hands-on inventory experience? We are seeking an IPV Logistics Material Specialist III (LMS III) to support bench stock and material operations in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
This role operates under the Projects ISO-certified processes with direct guidance from site management, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence.
Position Overview
LMS III plays a key role in ensuring maintenance teams have the materials they need—accurately processed, properly stored, and readily available. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Kind, Count, and Condition (KCC) validation when processing incoming receipts
Segregate, stage, and deliver bench stock materials from the Projects Central Staging Area to designated depot shops
Store materials in assigned bins or storage locations per site direction
Conduct visual inventory checks of assigned bins at least twice weekly
Scan and replenish bins at or below reorder points listed on bin labels
Enter data accurately using computer systems and handheld scanners
Print and apply barcode labels as required
Issue bench stock to maintenance personnel professionally and efficiently
Escalate customer concerns promptly to site management for resolution
Cross-level stock between storage locations to meet maintenance requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of customer service experience
Experience in inventory, shipping/receiving, logistics, or administrative support
Valid state driver’s license
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds daily
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Experience operating material handling equipment (pallet jack, delivery cart, etc.)
Ability to read and follow basic written instructions
Willingness to wear required PPE (hearing protection, safety goggles, ESD wristbands, OSHA-approved safety shoes)
Energetic, dependable, and confident with strong practical judgment and communication skills
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to pass federal drug screening and background check
Preferred Qualifications
Prior DoD bench stock experience (highly desirable)
Prior DoD supply experience (helpful but not required)
