iOS Engineer

We're an engineer-founded team of PhDs and exceptional developers who value autonomy, transparency, and technical excellence. This is a fully remote position where you'll directly shape our product and your career trajectory.

What You'll Do

You'll lead the development of our iOS application that collects and processes behavioral biometric data, with a strong emphasis on privacy, efficiency, and performance. This app will run in the background and authenticate the user based on how they walk with the phone in their pocket, how they swipe and interact with the screen, how they pick up and hold the device, and more. The initial use case is frictionless authentication for doctors and nurses in a hospitals, where every second counts in delivering patient care:

• Build secure data collection systems for sensors, user interactions, and other behavioral data with robust background processing capabilities
• Create APIs and frameworks that allow other iOS applications and cloud systems to integrate with our authentication system
• Optimize performance to ensure minimal battery impact while maintaining reliable continuous operation
• Build credential management features using iOS Wallet framework and NFC capabilities to enable instant, tap-based authentication
• Navigate iOS ecosystem challenges including permissions, App Store requirements, and enterprise deployment

Requirements:
What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• 4+ years of iOS development experience with apps in production
• Experience with building native iOS apps using Objective-C and Swift
• Deep knowledge of iOS architecture, background processing, and push notifications
• Strong understanding of iOS security features and limitations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to performance details

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with security products or authentication systems (OAuth/OIDC)
• Experience with Core Motion, Core Location, Core Bluetooth, or HealthKit
• Background in behavioral biometrics or continuous data collection
