The Role:

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated Risk Manager to be part of a dynamic Investment Risk Management team, with focus on market and liquidity risk. This exciting and varied role will cover a range of multi-asset class portfolios blending across all of the Investment Engines within Man Group, including both discretionary and systematic strategies, across public and private markets. Man Solutions is a fast growing area of the business and this is a fantastic opportunity for an intellectually curious risk professional to add value and take ownership.

The main focus of the role will be independent risk monitoring, management, and risk-related research. There will be plenty of interactions across multiple teams from interfacing with stakeholders to helping support fund launches.

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage risk across the business, including limit checking

• Work closely with investment teams to ensure awareness and challenge to ensure that risk is managed appropriately

• Work with all areas within the business to resolve risk issues as they arise

• Escalate relevant information to Senior Management in timely fashion, communicated clearly and concisely, to ensure transparency of key risks

• Closely follow market events, and proactively share risk analysis with the team, senior management and PMs

• Further develop the Man risk management process and broaden awareness and good risk management practices across all functions

• Conduct research into new risk measurement / risk management techniques

• Assisting with regulatory, client and marketing requests and other duties as may be required by broader Man Group from time to time

Your Background:

• 5+ years proven Market Risk experience at a leading Investment Bank/Investment Manager

• Knowledge and interest in major asset classes and portfolio risk management techniques

• A detailed understanding of VaR modelling and stress testing

• Strong communication, with a solutions focussed approach

• Strong financial, analytical and quantitative skills

• Python or similar programming skills

• Educated to degree level
