Job description

The Multimedia Technologies unit is formed by the Image and Audio research groups, as well as the Interactive Visualization development group.

The Image group has expertise in applied research and development of computer vision technologies, including video processing, 3D reconstruction, image generation or earth observation algorithms. In particular, the team has extensive experience of more than 10 years in applied artificial intelligence systems such as object detection and semantic segmentation for autonomous driving, monoscopic 360 depth estimation in audiovisual post-production, cross-modal generative models including video, or satellite imaging enhancement. It has participated in several international projects (Autopost, 3Flex, Möbius), national (Framework, Look4You, AI4ES), regional (ViVIM, Mironins) as well as in several projects for private clients.

Eurecat wishes to incorporate into its Area of MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY located in Barcelona a:

COMPUTER VISION / AI JUNIOR RESEARCHER

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:

Preparation of technical proposals.
Problem design and solving, state-of-the-art analysis.
Experimentation and validation of methodologies.
Writing technical reports and scientific papers.
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND STUDIES:

Candidates should have a degree and a master on computer science or related field, in particular machine learning and ideally computer vision.

The Master's thesis is expected to be focused on Computer Vision.

EXPERIENCE (Nice to have):

Academic or professional experience in research or applied projects related with computer vision.
Experience with deep learning frameworks and Tools (PyTorch+CUDA, TFlow, Tensorboard,...)
Advanced skills in Python and bash scripting, clean writing, clean code maintenance.
Other programming languages such as C++ or frameworks such as OpenCV or Slurm will be valuated positively.
Linux companion and Git should be in your daily toolbox.
Proved background in developing tools in the Media, Culture, and Arts sector is also valuable.
