Job Title: Inventory Technician / Budtender

Status: Part-Time
Salary Range: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour DOE
Location: Coarsegold, CA (Onsite)

JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Technician / Budtender supports the daily retail and inventory operations of Tribal Nation Flower Company by providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate inventory practices, and ensuring compliance with all applicable Tribal, state, and operational requirements. This position assists customers with cannabis product selection and education while also supporting inventory receiving, organization, stocking, processing, and sales floor operations.
This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining strict compliance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming, professional retail experience for guests
Assist customers with cannabis product selection, product education, and general retail inquiries
Accurately process customer transactions using point-of-sale systems
Maintain proper cash handling procedures and drawer accountability
Receive, organize, label, stock, and store cannabis inventory in accordance with company procedures
Assist with inventory counts, reconciliation, product audits, and inventory tracking activities
Maintain organization and cleanliness of sales floors, inventory areas, displays, workstations, and storage areas
Restock product displays and return misplaced or unused products to proper inventory locations
Assist with packaging, pre-roll preparation, and other approved product processing activities as assigned
Communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, or operational concerns to management
Support opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, and operational readiness
Follow all company policies, safety standards, and compliance procedures
Maintain confidentiality and security of customer, product, and operational information
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Perform all other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid California Driver’s License
Ability to successfully pass all required background screening requirements
Basic computer and cash handling skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous retail, hospitality, inventory, or customer service experience
Previous cannabis industry experience
Experience using point-of-sale or inventory management systems
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
Knowledge of cannabis products, consumption methods, and basic compliance requirements preferred

TRIBAL PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In accordance with applicable Tribal law and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians (PRCI) Administration provides employment preference to enrolled PRCI Tribal Members. To qualify, applicants must submit valid proof of enrollment. Tribal Members who meet the minimum qualifications will be given preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and layoff decisions. During the interview process, PRCI Tribal Members will receive an additional 7.5 points (10% of the 75-point interview rubric). Non-PRCI Native American candidates will receive an additional 5 points (6.7% of the total points) in accordance with Indian Preference guidelines.
INDIAN PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In compliance with 25 CFR Part 276 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Sections 701(b) and 703(i), employment preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, and secondarily, to another qualified American Indian/Alaska Native Candidate.
