Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the safekeeping of all items in the OrganOx Oxford Storeroom and Maintenance Centre, and the processing of receiving and dispatching of items.
The key areas of responsibility include stock control (in the OrganOx storeroom and maintenance centre) with a strong emphasis on maintaining a high level of stock accuracy, incoming inspection and receipt of items into stock from suppliers, customer returns or internal transfers, and picking, packing and dispatch of items from the OrganOx storeroom to customers, suppliers, or for internal consumption.
This is an on-site role in Oxford with occasional travel required to off-site storage locations.
Listed below are the major responsibilities of the role and a brief description of some of the key tasks to be performed. This list is not totally exhaustive and the postholder will be expected to complete tasks reasonably requested by the Warehouse & Logistics Lead or the Operations Director.
Major Responsibilities
Under direction from the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Inventory Specialist will be responsible for:
• Receiving goods from suppliers and other stock locations into the OrganOx Storeroom
• Picking and packing of items for dispatch
• Transferring the items using the Stock Transfer Order (STO) process
• Management of the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) process to enable the return of material to suppliers
• Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP across all warehouse locations
• Assist in cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and support quarterly audit readiness
• Monitor shelf-life, calibration, and serialisation of components and finished goods
• Ensure that all goods in the OrganOx Storeroom are appropriately handled, labelled, and stored in a safe manner
• Adherent to the letter and spirit of OrganOx’s Code of Conduct and all other company policies
Requirements:
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrable experience working in a warehouse or storeroom
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Excellent communication
• Excellent time management skills
• IT literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• High level of attention to detail
Qualifications
• A-levels or equivalent
• SAP ERP training or certification - desirable
