Our Home is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join the team at our Kankakee, IL Location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels of raw materials, packaging and finished goods, tracking shipments, managing stock movement, and coordinating with various departments to meet inventory needs. This is a 1st Shift role.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and maintain accurate system inventory levels in accordance with company policies and procedures. This will include but is not limited to receiving, work orders, build assemblies and shipment fulfillment by lot numbers
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to facilitate the movement of stock
• Conduct regular physical inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
• Generate inventory reports and provide analysis to management. Examples: Weekly hold report with disposition and consumption report for traceability.
• Assist in developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize processes and reduce costs
• Responsible for reporting food safety, food quality or plant safety issues.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in inventory management or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
