Inventory Controller

Yassir is looking for an Inventory Controller to join our team in Johannesburg. This responsibilities in this role will include all items related to inventory throughout our network, requiring a high level of accuracy in capturing stock movements as well as proactive communication to ensure constant alignment between various team members.

Responsibilities:
• Be accountable for the receipt of all stock into the DC and the movement of stock to the Dark Stores
• Ensure accurate records are captured in the relevant system with 100% accuracy, proactively engaging with colleagues where queries arise
• Work with the Supply and Ops team to ensure we know exactly where are inventory is in the network at all times
• Diligently receive goods at our DC to ensure no damaged or short dated stock is receipted into the network
• Ensure stock in the is efficiently managed to ensure our goods are kept in optimum condition
• Follow FIFO principles to avoid stock write offs
• Work with vendors to ensure DC runs efficiently
• Track short dated stock through the network with proactive management with various stakeholdersHelp track, identify and close out of stock gaps across the network

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years in an inventory, warehouse, store environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with accurate capturing of bulk data
• Experience working with consumer goods is a bonus
• Working with IT systems
