Job Description

VDL Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Control Forklift Driver to join our team. As a forklift driver, you will be responsible for managing and organizing inventory within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in operating forklifts and a strong understanding of inventory control practices.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload inventory

Accurately track and record inventory movements

Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits

Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory

Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize workflow and efficiency

Report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or repacks damaged product

Inspects and restocks returned products

Assist with inbound and outbound receiving

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Proven experience as a forklift operator

Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management

Order list planning

Counting on-hand inventory as needed

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects

Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles

Education:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

Forklift certification preferred
