The Inventory Control Clerk at Rentokil Initial is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient stock management. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular stock audits, and supporting the warehouse team to ensure timely replenishment of stock. The Inventory Control Clerk will also coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and assist in inventory reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Inventory & Document Control
• Process and issue the necessary shipping and customs documentation to the broker.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records and perform daily cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
• Stock Receiving and Distribution
• Manage the end-to-end process of receiving incoming stock and equipment, and dispatching items to technicians as required.
• Ensure all stock is packed and inventory is managed in strict adherence to company safety standards.
• Adhere to the ‘First In, First Out’ (FIFO) principle for distribution of all stock and equipment.
• Equipment Management and Maintenance
• Conduct regular physical checks and inspections of equipment.
• Promptly report any issues, damage, or maintenance requirements to the Procurement and Maintenance Manager.
• Warehouse Operations and Security
• Oversee warehouse keeping, ensuring all stock and equipment are secured in designated storage areas.
• Maintain control and accountability for storage keys and access to all storage facilities.
• Ensure safety standards and practices are strictly maintained within the warehouse at all times.
• Logistics and Fleet Support
• Coordinate and handle all courier services required for business operations.
• Manage the collection and delivery of company vehicles for servicing, and for transport to/from Tobago at the Port of Spain.
• Auditing and Compliance
• Lead or assist in conducting physical stock checks, including participation in the full Stock Audit carried out every quarter.
• Ensure compliance with the S.H.E. Management System, cooperating with company initiatives and adhering to all HSSE policies, procedures, and the OSH Act.
• General Support
• Provide necessary support in any other area as required, in support of overall Company activities.
Requirements:
• At least five (5) CSEC/CXC passes; further education in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and database software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A Class 4 Drivers permit
