Job Overview:
The Inventory Clerk supports daily stockroom and warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, stocking, order picking and packing, and performing inventory counts. This role is based at a single location and does not require travel or support of other branches. The position follows established procedures and escalates issues to the Inventory Coordinator as needed.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and completeness
Process shipping and receiving transactions, including labeling, documentation, and carrier coordination
Pick, stage, package, and ship parts for internal and external customers
Perform cycle counts and assist with recounts; document and report variances
Perform inventory transactions in D365
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area
Load and unload materials using appropriate warehouse equipment
Escalate missing items, discrepancies, or system issues to the Inventory Coordinator
Perform additional duties as needed to support inventory and warehouse operations
Success Measures:
Accurate and timely shipping and receiving transactions
High level of inventory accuracy and proper documentation
Efficient fulfillment of parts requests
Clean, organized, and safe work environment
Clear and timely communication of issues
Essential Functions:
Accurately receive, store, ship, and issue inventory items
Follow standard operating procedures for shipping, receiving, and inventory handling
Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
Support timely fulfillment of parts requests
Communicate shipping or receiving issues clearly to supervisors
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to operate pallet jacks or forklifts as required
Work performed primarily in a warehouse and shipping/receiving environment
