Job Summary
The Interop Specialist I shall be responsible for collecting and documenting the interface requirements for customers of Timeless Medical Systems® (TMS). This includes providing direction to the customers to ensure these interfaces work optimally with the TMS software. The Interop Specialist I will assist with interface testing and troubleshooting to ensure the successful implementation of HL7 interfaces between Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and TMS. Additionally, this individual will strive to continually improve TMS integration approach and/or future functionality by translating customer business needs and/or requirements into product enhancements. Experience working with EHR such as Epic and Cerner as well as knowledge of HL7 protocols and BridgeLink is preferred.

Job Duties
Works with TMS project teams to support the successful implementation of HL7 interfaces.
Participates in customer meetings as the HL7 interface subject matter expert who contains the ability to guide the conversation to positive and sustainable outcomes.
Executes detailed documentation in specified tools (e.g., excel, Smartsheet, JIRA, ZenDesk, etc.) in a manner that is understood by all stakeholders.
Collaborates with all stakeholders (internal and customer facing teams) to ensure all parties have a clearly defined interface plan for project success.
Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of TMS software applications, patient feed orders, product mapping rules, patient flowsheets, and patient movement throughout a hospital.
Ability to understand and translate both clinical and technical requirements.
Ability to explain the interdependencies between application behavior and interface behavior to all stakeholders.
Ability to clearly communicate down stream impacts to allow stakeholders to make better decisions.
Collaborates across teams on interface-related tasks to continually improve integration methods and/or future functionality to meet customer needs.
Ability to apply critical thinking during troubleshooting scenarios that allows for quick and collaborative resolutions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
Minimum of 1+ years in healthcare IT industry with focus on clinical application interfaces required.
Experience working in the following knowledge areas: ADT (admit/discharge/transfer), ERX (orders), ORM (orders), ORU (observation result), OBX, and CPOE.
