Position Summary
The Manufacturing Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the operations. This entry-level position focuses on assisting the VP of Manufacturing, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring a smooth workflow and projects with aspects of Engineering, CNC Machining and Assembly. The Manufacturing Intern will gain foundational skills and knowledge essential for progression within the machine shop. In an internship, this role may focus for projects in different areas depending on current project load in the shop and in assembly.
Key Responsibilities
Assist machinists with daily tasks and machine setups.
Clean and maintain tools, work areas, and machinery.
Organize and prepare materials for machining processes.
Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machines under supervision.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
Ensure that workstations are properly stocked with materials and tools

Assembly projects
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Support other departments and team members as needed.
Other duties may be required as assigned by the Company.
Qualifications
High School Diploma in process.
Interest in pursuing a career in machining, engineering or manufacturing.
Basic understanding of mechanical tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
Good communication skills.
Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Environment: Climate-controlled facility.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to push, pull, tilt and lift materials weighing up to 50lbs.
Ability to reach low, extended from body and overhead.
Manual dexterity for small part manipulation.
Work Schedule
Days: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Typically working 4-5 hours shifts either before or after classes at The Hill 2-3 days a week.
