WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
As a Software Developer Intern, you will contribute to the development of web-based tools that support the operations of Human Spaceflight and Satellite Missions. These tools are used for mission planning, monitoring, and data visualization, and play a key role in improving the efficiency and reliability of space operations. You will work closely with experienced software engineers and system engineers, gaining hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle.
In our team you will contribute to the design and development of web-based applications used in mission operations; implement front-end and back-end features to enhance user experience and functionality; support integration and testing of software components to ensure reliability and performance; assist in validation and verification activities to maintain high-quality standards; collaborate with system engineers to ensure software aligns with mission operational needs and participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and agile development sprints.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
We are seeking passionate students that have:
Experience in web development technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or Python (Flask/Django).
Familiarity with Linux Environment.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
Understanding of software testing and version control (Git/GitLab).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:
Knowledge and interest in space systems, mission operations, or aerospace software.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) or cloud-based deployment (AWS, Azure).
Please note: Interns must attend the Munich office one day per week.
