Purpose of the role

Alvarez & Marsal’s Insurance business is a rapidly growing its high performance European team. We are currently looking for two Interns to join our Iberia team.

You will have the opportunity of working across the entire value chain of insurers, supporting our clients in their strategy, distribution, value proposition and post-sales challenges.

A&M Insurance have a unique delivery model that enables junior members of the team to gain extensive exposure to Managing Directors and Senior Directors thus empowering individuals to fast track their careers and development. As an Intern, you will be working closely with the rest of the team and gain ‘on-the-job’ learning and development, leveraging on their substantial experience.

The main tasks will include

Being an active part of the teams helping all type of companies in the insurance market in achieving their strategic and operational objectives;

Assisting on producing financial and operational modelling and analysis including P&L models and projections;

Assisting on synthesising information after research and analysis into high quality client reports and recommendations;

Help to produce integrated models with balance sheet, P&L and cash flow, identifying key trends and red flags;

Supporting Managing Directors and other senior members of the team with client pitch production;

Find key information on companies reporting, know what to look for to understand company business performance and key information.

Requirements

Studying at a leading universities in Business Administration and / or Engineering, or equivalent;

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Ability to prioritise – especially in highly pressured situations;

Some Excel modelling skills;

Fluent business level English and Spanish is essential. Additional European language skills including Dutch, German, Italian or French are highly desirable;

Strong interest in a career within Consulting.
