We are a well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm specializing in international tax services, with a strong focus on supporting Japanese clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our expanding practice.
This role offers the flexibility to work fully remote from home, with preference for candidates located in Pacific or Mountain time zones.
About the Role
As a Tax Senior, you will work closely with partners on challenging engagements across a diverse range of clients. You will prepare and review complex tax returns, research and resolve tax issues, and play a key role in client service and planning. This position requires fluency in Japanese, along with strong technical tax expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare federal and multi-state tax returns for corporations (C & S), partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcies, and trusts/estates.
• Research, analyze, and resolve complex tax and accounting issues.
• Identify tax planning and consulting opportunities for clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with Japanese clients.
• Support partners in delivering high-quality, timely tax services.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
• 2+ years of tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
• CPA license (or actively pursuing CPA licensure).
• Fluency in Japanese (required).
• Strong technical knowledge in federal and multi-state taxation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to manage deadlines.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. permanently (no sponsorship available).
