The role

At Ideals, we’re growing fast across regions, cultures, and regulatory landscapes. We're looking for an International Tax Analyst in Ukraine to join our Tax team and support a wide range of cross-border tax activities across our multiple jurisdictions.

This position comes with meaningful challenges that make the work highly impactful:

• You will work with many jurisdictions and tax rules, which require curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly.

• The environment is dynamic - tax structures evolve, processes change, and priorities can shift.

• A large part of the work requires navigating non-standard, one-off cases, where there is no ready-made answer and you’ll need to research, analyze, and propose solutions.

• The team is building and formalizing internal processes, meaning you will contribute to creating tax policies, documentation, and risk assessments from scratch.

• You will act as an internal advisor for different teams, which requires confidence, structured thinking, and strong communication.

What you will do

• Handle day-to-day international tax operations, including withholding tax, VAT/reverse charge mechanisms, employment-related tax calculations, and client/tender documentation reviews

• Provide internal tax advisory to teams across different jurisdictions and support compliance-related queries

• Support the development of tax modelling and analytical calculations under the guidance of senior team members

• Contribute to the preparation and structuring of internal tax policies, process documentation, and risk assessments, enabling future automation

• Review tax implications for global operations and assist in evaluating tax risks across countries

• Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure consistent and accurate tax practices

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in international tax, corporate tax, audit, or tax consulting (preferably within Big 4 or second-tier firms)

• Hands-on experience working with foreign jurisdictions, apart from Ukraine

• Solid understanding of international taxation principles and ability to analyze complex tax scenarios

• Strong analytical mindset and basic knowledge of accounting principles

• Excellent English skills (at least C1) to communicate with global stakeholders

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and learn quickly in a dynamic environment

• High ownership, attention to detail, and willingness to dive deep into new legislation and tax frameworks

Nice to have

• Experience with US and EU tax matters

• Background in legal or financial fields (both are valuable)

• Experience with tax audit, due diligence, and financial modelling

• Familiarity with ERP systems or automation tools
