Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented International Payroll & Accounting Specialist to manage global payroll operations and core accounting processes across the United States, Canada, and India.
This role sits at the intersection of international payroll compliance, multi-entity accounting, and financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cross-border payroll regulations, statutory compliance, and multi-currency accounting, while helping establish scalable financial processes for a rapidly growing global SaaS company.
You will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate payroll execution, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Global Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Own and manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple international jurisdictions while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
United States: Process semi-monthly payroll including federal, state, and local tax deductions
- Ensure accurate payroll tax reporting and remittances to the IRS and relevant state agencies
- Maintain compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
Canada: Manage payroll in accordance with CRA requirements
- Handle payroll deductions including CPP, EI, and income tax
- Ensure accurate reporting and issuance of T4 slips and RL-1 forms (Quebec where applicable)
India: Process monthly payroll including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and statutory deductions
- Manage TDS compliance and quarterly filing of Form 24Q
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related statutory obligations
Tax Remittance & Compliance
- Ensure timely remittance of payroll taxes to IRS, CRA, and the Indian Income Tax Department
- Maintain complete payroll documentation and compliance-ready records
- Coordinate with external payroll providers, tax advisors, and auditors when required
Full-Cycle Accounting (AP & AR)
Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle supporting global financial operations.
Accounts Payable
- Manage vendor onboarding, invoice validation, and payment processing
- Handle both domestic and international vendor payments
- Maintain vendor reconciliations and aging reports
Accounts Receivable
- Generate and manage customer invoices
- Monitor collections and manage receivables
- Apply payments and resolve billing discrepancies
- Perform credit checks and maintain accurate AR records
Financial Reconciliation
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and multi-currency reconciliations
- Manage accounts across USD, CAD, and INR
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes
Financial Systems & Automation
- Manage and optimize accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online Advanced, Zoho, or equivalent platforms
- Implement automation tools and AI solutions to improve financial workflows
- Support financial reporting and operational dashboards
- Ensure accurate financial data management and reporting consistency
Required Qualifications
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) OR Master’s Degree in Finance - Mandatory
Experience
3–5+ years of experience in international payroll and accounting operations
Experience managing multi-country payroll and tax compliance
Exposure to cross-border financial operations and global SaaS environments preferred
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of:

- CRA payroll deductions
- Regulation 102 (for non-resident employers)
India
- Income Tax Act provisions related to salary and employee benefits
- PF, ESI, Benefits PT compliance
- TDS and statutory filings
Tools
- Accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Zoho,Justworks)
- Payroll systems and financial reconciliation tools
- Experience using automation or AI tools in finance workflows is a plus
